Mold Removal & Remediation

When you fear there is mold in your home considering the potential for additional property damage and health concerns, you want to have it inspected and effectively removed from your property fast! Mold Remediation Services from Eagle ProServices provide a fast, effective, and affordable solution from IICRC-certified technicians. Removing mold safely requires expertise and professional equipment. Despite some resources suggesting a simple spray and wipe, it is a detailed and controlled cleaning process.

Our mold remediation services are designed to discover the source of the mold and eliminate it. Mold commonly hides inside walls and relies on moisture to grow and colonize. Sometimes you can see the presence of mold on walls or ceilings. Still, the majority of it grows undetected, affecting the structural integrity of your property and your health and even causing your home or property to lose value and disrupt estate transactions. Studies have shown potential links between mold and symptoms such as chronic coughs, watery eyes, rashes, headaches, and respiratory issues.

IF YOU SUSPECT MOLD, WE CAN HELP

Don’t go at it alone; get help from a professional.

If you do have a mold problem, it’s essential to address the source of the moisture, as well as the effects it’s had on your space. DO NOT CLEAN MOLD WITH BLEACH! Using bleach on mold will kill the surface spores but drive hidden mold even deeper into the core of your home’s surfaces, creating a more profound, complex problem that puts your household at serious risk. Mold removal isn’t a job that shouldn't be taken lightly but requires professional expertise. Eagle ProServices mold remediation specialists always wear protective clothing. They also use gloves, goggles, and, at a minimum, an N-95 mask to avoid inhaling mold spores and encountering any health problems. Instead of using guesswork to solve the mold problem, trust a professional mold remediation specialist like us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at contact@eaglepro-services.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  1. Fix Any Moisture Problems First
It is essential to find the source of water or moisture. This must be fixed first to ensure mold does not continue to grow.
  2. Isolate Areas of Mold
To avoid cross-contamination, mold areas must be isolated from other areas before demolition, cleaning, or drying can begin. Any airflow across affected moldy surfaces can spread mold spores around the building and spread contamination.
  3. Throw Out Absorbent Materials
Certain items affected by mold, particularly porous items, must be removed. In some circumstances, these things can be cleaned by our specialist, but in most cases, they will be thrown away. For example, items such as carpets or furniture have fibers in which mold can remain even if you feel you’ve cleaned them thoroughly. This means they may need to be thrown out to stop the problem from reoccurring.
  4. Clean Away the Mold
Once highly affected porous materials have been removed, any remaining materials, like plywood subfloors and framing, can be cleaned. All visible traces of mold will be removed before an antimicrobial or biocide spray is used to clean the surfaces during a wet wipe. You may have heard of "mold removal spray" products; however, these are not known to remove mold and only assist in cleaning after removal.
  5. Thoroughly Dry
A thorough drying process is required to complete mold remediation. This will be accomplished using air movers, dehumidifiers, and moisture meters to provide an accurate reading to ensure the materials are dry.

Mold can be a problem in your home whether you see it or not, and mold problems often range from small and manageable to far outside the homeowner’s scope. According to the EPA, if the moldy area is less than ten square feet, you can handle the job yourself in most cases.

If the mold problem is greater than ten square feet and meets one of the conditions listed by the EPA, you should hire a mold removal professional.

Call a mold removal specialist if

  • You believe the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system (HVAC) is contaminated.
  • The mold problem is a result of sewage or contaminated water.
  • The mold problem was caused by water damage.
  • You’re experiencing health concerns or are worried that the mold problem in your home could lead to health issues.

Note: If you take care of it yourself, keep in mind that even if you kill mold, dead mold can still be dangerous to your health. Also, it is essential to note that often your mold problem extends past what you can see.

Mold is a fungus that grows indoors and outdoors and thrives on moisture. Mold sprouts form tiny spores floating about in the air and settling on moist surfaces, reproducing into mold colonies. There are thousands of types of molds worldwide, most of them harmless. But some mold becomes a problem when it impacts the integrity of your home. Some molds are also toxic and may affect your health.
